Where the Hell is Matt?
In February 2003, Matt Harding quit his job in the video-game industry in Brisbane and set out to tour the world.
Along the way, the 30-year-old American dances a silly jig for the camera performing, for example, in front of the statues on Easter Island, on the Great Wall of China and in front of the fish at the Sydney Aquarium. The video becomes a hit and Harding is offered sponsorship to help fund a more extensive trip.
"If you can hold people's attention for even just a minute or two and you're smart about how you do it, it's possible to make a living off that," he says. "If you're doing something beyond just lighting your farts or torturing your pets, that's even better."
